HI, I'M KATIE! A SELF-TAUGHT BAKER WHIPPING UP ONE OF A KIND, CUSTOM DESSERTS FOR ALL OCCASIONS!

KT Cakes was born out of a love for baking and a childhood habit of playing with my food at the dinner table. Who would have thought I’d be able to turn that habit into a career?

Growing up my Summer breaks consisted of baking 2+ cakes a week in an attempt to bribe my brother and his friends into letting me hang out with them. On days when that failed, I’d spend countless hours watching baking shows on the Food Network and experimenting in my mom’s kitchen. In 2010, I made my first batch of custom decorated cupcakes for a girlfriends birthday party. After seeing her reaction to her custom creations I knew I was onto something special and KTCakes was born.

I continued creating custom desserts while attending the University of Southern California (USC) and following graduation while working a full time job in the television industry. In 2016, I decided to take the leap and transition into KTCakes full time. It’s been two years now and I haven’t looked back since.
